Imola: the beating heart of Italian speed
Nestled in the hills of Emilia-Romagna, surrounded by history, passion, and the roar of engines, lies the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola — one of the most iconic circuits in the world. More than just a Formula 1 track, it’s a place of emotion, memory, and innovation.
A legendary circuit
Established in 1953, Imola has witnessed some of motorsport’s most unforgettable and heartbreaking moments. Its fast, technical layout features challenging corners like Rivazza, Variante Alta, and the famed Acque Minerali. It’s also one of the few tracks in the world that runs counter-clockwise, adding an extra layer of difficulty.
A deep connection to Formula 1
Imola became a fan favorite as the historic home of the San Marino Grand Prix, held here until 2006. After a long break, it returned to the F1 calendar in 2020 as the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, quickly regaining its status as a driver- and fan-favorite.
A place of emotion and remembrance
The track is deeply tied to the memory of Ayrton Senna, who tragically lost his life here on May 1, 1994. A memorial stands in his honor, attracting motorsport fans from around the globe.
More than just Formula 1
Imola also hosts Superbike races, GT events, endurance competitions, and historic car showcases. The venue offers guided tours, track days, and even live concerts, making it a dynamic destination for fans of speed and culture alike.
