THE NIGHT OF THE WITCHES
FROM 19 TO 23 OF JUNE 2025
Every year in San Giovanni in Marignano a moment full of magic, mysteries and influences on things, animals and people is celebrated.
This moment is also called the night of the witches.
On this night we experience a magical moment because it falls on solstitial days when, according to an ancient belief, the sun marries the moon and from its marriage beneficial energies are poured onto the earth.
Legend has it that in this astral period the witches gathered to finish their spells.
These witches were young women who, to help the sun be born, gathered in the fields and lit fires.
There are five days of shows in which you can also stroll through the streets of the village where you can taste the typical products of the place offered by the magical market and at the same time you can taste the food and wine proposals of restaurants.
This year the event takes place from 21 to 25 June in Piazza Silvagni- San Giovanni in Marignano.
