THE CLOCK OF THE RICCIONE HOSPITAL - 1892
The Riccione hospital was inaugurated in 1893, desired but above all built by Maria Boorman, who later dedicated it to her late husband, the doctor Giovanni Ceccarini, known in the Americas.
The Riccione hospital was designed by the architect Giulio Podesti, and had as its builder the master builder Leonardo Mazzocchi.
Turning our attention to the public clock instead, we can discover that the latter was desired by residents and foreigners for the simple need of a clock that marked the hours to better organize their days.
The local benefactor, namely Mrs. Boorman, thought of finding a solution to the problem in no time, ensuring that in 1892 a splendid little jewel that marked the time was placed at the head of the hospital building.
It is said that the moment of the chime was highly anticipated so much so that a large flock of people gathered under it almost as if it were a solemn celebration.
