INTERNATIONAL LEFT-HANDED DAY - AUGUST 13
Since 1992, thanks to the Left Handers Club, every 13th August, we celebrate World Left-Handed Day.
The Left Handers Club is an English association for left-handed people, which has been committed for years to spreading knowledge of left-handedness, raising public awareness of the daily problems that this minority encounters, in a world designed for right-handed people.
While left-handed people have difficulty with scissors and can openers (designed mainly for right-handed people), it is also true that they are more familiar with some sports, with music and with creativity in general.
Today, left-handed people are about 10% of the world's population and, compared to the past, their peculiarity is no longer considered a defect that needs to be corrected.
