GRADARA 14 Km
The stronghold of Gradara stands on a hill (142 m above sea level) on the border between Marche and Romagna in a strategic and dominant position. You can go around the crenellated walls, cross the drawbridge and come across the elegant courtyard. The internal rooms recall the splendors of the powerful families who ruled here: Malatesta, Sforza and Della Rovere.
In the first half of the 13th century, Gradara fell under the rule of the MALATESTA family, who ordered the construction of the double wall, after the SFORZA and DELLA ROVERE governed.
