GIANMARCO TAMBERI
Gianmarco Tamberi, nicknamed “Gimbo” or “Halfshave”, is an Italian high jumper (speciality: high jump), born on 1 June 1992 in Civitanova Marche.
In 2016 he jumped a new Italian record: 2.38m.
He won the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2020.
In 2022, he won the gold medal at the European Championships in Munich: in the second test, Tamberi jumped 2.30m and beat Tobias Potye and Andry Protsenko, winning the title of 2022 European Champion.
In 2016 he jumped a new Italian record: 2.38m.
