COMA_COSE
The Coma Cose are an Italian indie pop/rap musical duo, formed in Milan in 2016 and made up of Fausto Lama (pseudonym of Fausto Zanardelli) and California (pseudonym of Francesca Mesiano).
Fausto, who had temporarily abandoned his musical career, was persuaded to resume it by Francesca, a former DJ, whom he had met by chance as a work colleague (both were clerks at a bag and gift shop).
In 2017, the duo joined the Asian Fake record label, with which they released the EP Inverno Ticino in the same year. On March 15, 2018 they performed on the talk show E poi c'è Cattelan hosted by Alessandro Cattelan.
In 2018, together with Giorgio Poi and Pop X, they were chosen by the Phoenix group to open their concerts in Paris in May 2018. In 2019, Coma Cose released their first album, Hype Aura, and participated in the May Day Concert in Rome.
In the same year, the songs Mancarsi and Post concerto were certified gold by the Federation of the Italian Music Industry.
In 2020, the duo appears in the Summertime television series produced by Netflix where one of their concerts is featured. In June of the same year, the Coma Cose took part in the television show Le Iene where they were interviewed in the double interview format.
On 6 September 2020, together with artists such as Marracash and Achille Lauro, they took part in the Heroes concert event, streamed from the Arena di Verona, to raise funds to support workers in the entertainment world in difficulty due to the anticovid restrictions. In December 2020, Rai announced that the duo would be among the participants in the Sanremo 2021 Festival in the Big section with the song Flames in the eyes, with which they were finally classified in twentieth position, however achieving great critical and commercial success public.
After a year off, they released the single Chiamami, which anticipates the album A wonderful way to save oneself released on November 4, 2022.
On December 4 of the same year, their participation in the competition at the Sanremo Festival 2023 was announced. They presented themselves with the song L'addio. They rank 13th and obtain both the "Sergio Bardotti" Award for the best text and the Lunezia Award for musical-literary value.
